About the coffee:
We first met Tamiru Tadesse in Houston at the Specialty Coffee Expo. What was initially a short conversation in passing eventually turned into a coffee partnership. Tamiru produces some of the finest Ethiopian coffees you’ll ever taste. In 2021, one of his first years of producing coffee at his home village of Alo in Bensa, he won 1st Place in Ethiopia’s Cup of Excellence. We’re proud to offer multiple lots from Tamiru this year!
The fruitedness of Tuke is so clean and sweet, but it’s delicate and doesn’t carry a ton of punchiness. It’s stone fruit and citrus acidity are balanced and play well together, followed by florals as the cup cools. The anaerobic element of this coffee lends itself to a slight hint of grapes and/or wine, but not overpowering at all.
