About the coffee:
Finca La Guaca is located in Vereda Los Pinos in Santa María, Huila, Colombia, and is managed by Leidy Horta, a 37-year-old second-generation coffee producer.
The farm spans 7 Ha, with 18,000 coffee trees of Caturra, F6, and Pink Bourbon planted at an elevation of 1,900 m.a.s.l. In addition, she expects a small plot of Geisha to entre production in the coming years. Leidy’s commitment to quality has made this farm great.
La Guaca offers a beautiful blend of red and yellow fruits. There’s certainly a cherry sweetness to this coffee accompanied by a blood orange acidity that’s juicy and lively. The papaya and other tropicals linger in the background and show up as the cup begins to cool.
We also get some baking spices and black tea notes once the cup is closer to room temperature. A dynamic, fruit-forward Pink Bourbon.
