Join us for a hands-on, 2-hour pour-over brewing class led by Moxie's Brent Jones, held at our warehouse at 1005 E Madison St, Phoenix, AZ 85034. Whether you’re brand new to manual brewing or you’ve been dialing in coffee for years, this class will build a foundation you can confidently use at home or in a commercial setting.

Every attendee will receive an 8oz bag of coffee, and Origami brewers and filters will be available for purchase on the day of the class at a discounted rate.

Brent will walk you through the full spectrum of pour-over fundamentals—choosing the right grinder, understanding burr types, selecting kettles, water quality, and more. From bloom to final drawdown, you’ll get clear, practical instruction on how to make your coffee consistently great. Brent will break down the process in simple, approachable explanations for concepts like extraction, strength, and how water temperature affects flavor.

For the coffee nerds (or soon-to-be), we’ll also dive deeper into how to adjust grind size to manipulate extraction, how to troubleshoot common brew defects, and what to look for when making recipe changes.

We'll explore how brew geometry, agitation, and filter material impact your cup, and you’ll practice tasting through intentional adjustments to understand how small changes create big flavor differences. By the end, you’ll walk away with both a repeatable home recipe and the knowledge to confidently tweak it like a pro.
